Abstract
Ureteral stents have been widely used in many urological procedures. With the widespread use of ureter stents, the complications are increasing. The most harmful complications of ureteral stents indwelling are infection, encrustation, stone formation, and breakage due to a long-term placement after surgical operations. The removal of an encrusted ureteral stent is a challenge that may lead to serious complications if not managed properly. In this study, we present our experience of management of encrusted ureteral stents.

This is a small series of 11 patients with ESWL done in 4. There is nothing remarkable or new in this letter to the editor.
