Abstract
Immediate SWL treatment of ureteral stones should be encouraged in centers provided with lithotripter/SWL facility during the Covid-19 pandemic.

This comment is extremely relevant particularly during the covid pandemic. The authors emphasize the advantage of early SWL for removal of ureteral stones. The advantages of anaesthesia-free stone disintegration, no need for operating theatre and easier patient handling are obvious. A literature review that I carried out earlier in 2021 showed that surprisingly few urologists used SWL to deal with stone problems during the pandemic. It is difficult to understand why.
