A haematoma after piezo-electric ESWL managed conservatively in a patient with slightly elevated blood pressure. I wonder why this is published as case of the month. A few old references. Rather unusual that angioembolisation was considered. Maybe the case was selected because it is so rare and there is a risk to forget about it.
One line amused me: “Our centre has the capacity for urgent CT and round-the-clock interventional radiology opinion, however, we appreciate that this may not always be the case.”
Reminds me of a joke on the British NHS:
NHS surgeons are so poorly paid that they have to resort to crime: Yesterday I saw a sign, it said "Thieves operate in this area."
