In our next webinar Prof. Dr Matthias Beck will talk about »The Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome«. The Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome (GTPS) is related to the tendinopathy (tendinosis, partial- and full-thickness tears) of the muscles which inserts at the greater trochanter of the femur. In addition to these degenerative changes in the tendons inflammation of the synovial bursae could be a reason for the pain in the gluteal area which is elicited by rotational hip movements and lateral position.

In February 2020, STORZ MEDICAL has received the CE approval for the MAGNETOLITH® system, which is the successor of the CELLACTOR® MT1. Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy (EMTT®) with the MAGNETOLITH® opens up new possibilities in regeneration and rehabilitation. Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy (EMTT): STORZ MEDICAL’s MAGNETOLITH receives 510(k) clearance from the FDA

On 3 May 2021, STORZ MEDICAL received the 510(k) clearance for the MAGNETOLITH® from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The therapy device is now cleared in the USA (as a class II medical device) for the following indications:

  • Relaxation of muscle spasms
  • Prevention or retardation of disuse atrophy
  • Increase local blood circulation
  • Muscle re-education
  • Immediate post-surgical stimulation of calf muscles to prevent venous thrombosis
  • Maintaining or increasing range of motion
