AUA 2023: Successful participation of STORZ MEDICAL America

STORZ MEDICAL successfully attended the 118th Annual Meeting of the American Urological Association (AUA) in Chicago, USA, from 28 April to 1 May 2023. For the first time, the lithotripters were presented by the newly founded company, STORZ MEDICAL America, Inc., which was very well received by the visitors. With this new structure, the US team can focus even more on the needs of customers and offer them solutions tailored to their requirements/needs.

Many urologists from USA, but also from other countries showed a very big interest in the urological workstation MODULITH® SLX-F2 »connect« which was only exhibited for the second time in the USA. Another highlight of the STORZ MEDICAL booth was the transportable version of the MODULITH® SLX-F2 which is still the most sold lithotripter in the USA each year. Dedicated and fixed urotables are very popular in hospitals while mobile lithotripters are mainly used on demand.

To have a comprehensive workstation which combines a urotable with an integrated lithotripter will open up new opportunities in urology in the North American market. This is also reflected in practice: In the meantime, for example, two important centres in the US and four sites in Canada are using the MODULITH® SLX-F2 »connect« on a daily basis for endourological procedures and shock wave treatments.
