Celebrating 20 years of STORZ MEDICAL (UK) Ltd.

STORZ MEDICAL (UK) Ltd., a 100% subsidiary, is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The well-oiled service organisation deals with hospital equipment products, most notably in the fields of urology and stone therapy.

Honouring anniversaries in the run-up to Christmas is a long-standing tradition at STORZ MEDICAL, and this year, STORZ MEDICAL (UK) Ltd. is celebrating a very special event indeed: The company’s 20th anniversary. STORZ MEDICAL (UK) Ltd. became part of the worldwide »STORZ MEDICAL family« back in March 2001, when it was founded in London as a 100% subsidiary of STORZ MEDICAL AG, based in Tägerwilen, Switzerland. Our long-time partner, Rimmer Brothers, had previously discontinued its representational activities within the United Kingdom.

In the same year, Peter Schmid took over the UK branch and was able to build it up locally within 5 years. He could rely on the former service employees of Rimmer Brothers, Zeki Ziya and Tristan Gallagher. Both have been with us for many years and continue to work for STORZ MEDICAL (UK) Ltd.

The company consists primarily of a well-oiled service organisation. Today, Peter Schmid still manages the subsidiary from the headquarters in Switzerland. The office and spare parts warehouse, which are maintained by Zeki Ziya, are located in London, while Tristan Gallagher works from Bristol. Steve Duffy lives near Manchester and has been with the team for three years. This ensures that the north and south of the country are well covered and that our customers can be served quickly for non-invasive extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL), especially in urology and stone therapy. The focus is on servicing clinical equipment in lithotripsy: MODULITH SLX-F2 »FD21«, MODULITH SLX-F2 »connect« and MODULITH SLK »inline«.
