EAU22: STORZ MEDICAL makes stone therapy tangible in practice

After attending two virtual congresses, innovative companies, physicians and specialists in urology once again met in person for the 37th Annual Congress of the European Association of Urology (EAU) in Amsterdam (1–4 July 2022).

Together with KARL STORZ, STORZ MEDICAL presented the MODULITH® SLX-F2 »connect« as an all-in-one solution for various urological interventions. The visitors were able to experience the future-oriented technologies of the two companies in a realistic operating theatre environment.

Personalised stone management
As the only stationary system on the market, the MODULITH® SLX-F2 »connect« is the urological X-ray workstation designed for non-invasive or minimally invasive procedures of various stone diseases. The system is suitable for performing stone removal by extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (SWL), ureterorenoscopy (URS) and also for percutaneous nephrolitholapaxy (PCNL). Dynamic video routing facilitates transurethral resections (TUR-P, TUR-B), urographies (IVP, IVU), cystoscopies and the placement and removal of stents. This makes the MODULITH® SLX-F2 »connect« the ideal tool to provide the physician with a variety of individual treatment methods for lithiases – an essential component for personalised stone management.

Shock wave therapy for erectile dysfunction
The DUOLITH® SD1 T-TOP »ultra« – the shock wave system for the treatment of vascular erectile dysfunction (ED), Peyronie's disease and chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS) – also aroused great interest among the audience of experts.
