In our next webinar Prof. Dr Matthias Beck will talk about »The Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome«. The Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome (GTPS) is related to the tendinopathy (tendinosis, partial- and full-thickness tears) of the muscles which inserts at the greater trochanter of the femur. In addition to these degenerative changes in the tendons inflammation of the synovial bursae could be a reason for the pain in the gluteal area which is elicited by rotational hip movements and lateral position.

In the process of clinical evaluation and diagnosing the ultrasound examination helps to differentiate between the sources of pain and dysfunction and allows to specify the application of ESWT and EMTT^®
