Successful Inauguration Ceremony of the New Company Building in Jena
With a delay of more than a year due to the pandemic, STORZ MEDICAL GmbH inaugurated their new company building in Jena in a festive setting. The guests included all staff together with their families, managing directors of neighbouring companies, representatives of the city of Jena and the companies involved in the construction.
Good cooperation
Managing Director Dr Rafael Storz welcomed the guests by showing the building's development chronologically, while thanking all those involved for their commitment. »The cooperation with our construction partner Freyler Industriebau was a partnership on a level playing field. What they and also our STORZ MEDICAL staff on site have achieved in this short time is impressive.«
STORZ MEDICAL GmbH also received a friendly welcome from the representatives of the neighbouring companies and were welcomed by the guests with kind words and individual gifts. The managing director Wilfried Röpke of Business Development Jena spoke on their behalf as a representative of the city with pleasure about »this growing company in health technology, one of the local core industries«.
Culinary and musical finesse
In fine weather, the company grounds were transformed with pagoda tents into a small festival area. The converted storage rooms formed the centre stage for the delicious buffet. Musical entertainment was provided by a jazz band, which contributed to the good atmosphere, reflected by the lively exchange between the guests until late in the evening.

STORZ MEDICAL Deutschland GmbH have been part of the STORZ MEDICAL group since 2013. In addition to services ranging from sales to repair services, an important part of the software development is located in Jena. The building, inspired by the Swiss headquarters, was erected in a record time of 14 months, from breaking the ground to moving in. With a total surface area of about 1570 m2, the premises for storage and service areas can be found on the lower floor and a number of office and seminar rooms are located on the upper two light-flooded floors of the new building.
