ISMST Congress 2023 in Daegu: Exchange of experience and knowledge

The 25th edition of the ISMST (International Society for Medical Shockwave Treatment) World Congress took place from 21 to 23 July 2023 in Daegu, located in the middle of the Korean peninsula. Leading scientists and physicians from around the world presented the latest in research and practice in first-class lectures and workshops on all aspects of Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT), from basic to advanced understanding.

More than 400 delegates from all over the world attended the sessions ranging from shock waves in sports medicine and pain management, shock wave-based regenerative medicine, shock waves in neurology and urology to combination therapies such as ESWT and EMTT (Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy). In addition to the scientific programme, a real highlight was the international Instruction Certification Course (ICC) for physicians and physiotherapists. The one-day training course is designed to teach the basics of technology, indications, and practical applications of focused and radial shock wave therapy.

At our booth we showed not only our shock wave systems DUOLITH® SD1 T-TOP »ultra«, MASTERPULS® ONE, but also the EMTT device MAGNETOLITH®. Especially the combination of the technologies was well received by the visitors.
