Shaping the future of urology: STORZ MEDICAL at the EAU Congress 2024

From the 5 to the 8 of April 2024, Paris was transformed into the meeting centre for healthcare professionals in urology worldwide: With the EAU Congress, the leading European professional association provided a forum in which the key players of the urological community were able to discuss the latest industry trends. At the congress, STORZ MEDICAL presented its solutions – both for stone treatment and for urological pain therapy.

Personalised stone management with the MODULITH® SLX-F2 »connect«

Among the exhibitions at the company's eco-friendly fair stand, the spotlight was taken by the MODULITH® SLX-F2 »connect«. In response to the increased demand for universally applicable urological treatment units, the system allows the user to perform all common stone treatment procedures, such as Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (SWL), ureterorenoscopy (URS) and percutaneous nephrolitholapaxy (PCNL), from a single workstation. Dynamic video routing facilitates transurethral resections (TUR-P, TUR-B), urographies (IVP, IVU), cystoscopies and the placement and removal of stents. The visiting experts were able to see the multifunctionality of the system for themselves.

Urological pain therapy and erectile dysfunction

Another highlight at the STORZ MEDICAL stand was the DUOLITH® SD1 T-TOP »ultra« shock wave system. The visitors were able to try out the device for themselves using an anatomical model. In addition to CPPS, IPP and vascular ED, the DUOLITH® SD1 »ultra« can also be used to treat vulvodynia and dyspareunia. With an impressive energy range and adjustable therapeutic focal depth, it enables targeted treatment of deep-lying areas.

Taking part in the EAU Congress provided STORZ MEDICAL with a promising opportunity to present our products and technologies to an international audience of professionals and exchange ideas with experts. The positive feedback gives impetus to our mission of continuously advancing and improving medical care.
