Sustainability
At STORZ MEDICAL, sustainability is incredibly important to us and forms a central component of our corporate philosophy. This is reflected in the work we do on a day-to-day basis, which is based entirely on resource-saving processes, products and production sequences. It is also proven by our certification to the environmental management standard ISO 14001:2015. Durable products
The medical devices manufactured by STORZ MEDICAL are high quality and reusable. The use of durable materials means resource consumption and emissions can be reduced.
Photovoltaic systems
STORZ MEDICAL has had photovoltaic systems installed on its roofs since spring 2020. On sunny days, a large part of the electricity consumption is covered by renewable solar energy.
Honeybees
STORZ MEDICAL regularly sponsors local bee colonies. Bees are important contributors to a healthy ecosystem, which means they’re also important to us humans.
Bike 2 Work
Bike 2 Work is a health and bike promotion campaign in Switzerland that encourages people to cycle to and from work instead of using CO2-emitting vehicles. STORZ MEDICAL has been participating in this campaign since 2018.
Recycled paper
As of 2020, the offices and printers at the Tägerwilen site have been using 100% recycled paper. Recycled paper offers a whole host of environmental advantages over fresh fibre paper.
Waste separation
STORZ MEDICAL attaches great importance to the separation of different types of waste. Valuable recyclable materials can be reused if they are collected separately and properly disposed of.
