Comment Hans-Göran Tiselius

This correspondence is a comment on a previously published article [1] comparing RIRS and SWL for removal of stones in anomalous kidneys. One of the statements presented by the authors is the importance to “weigh the invasiveness against the success rates”. Moreover, “one must always remember surgery is more invasive than SWL”. The reviewer agrees.

The basic conclusion was that there still might be a place for SWL, particularly for pelvic stones ≤20 mm.
