Comment Hans-Göran Tiselius

This Correspondence to the Editor is a comment of the article referred to as 25146, commented among the reports included in the collection of articles during period 1, 2025.
The authors mention that the treatment of uric acid stones, not possible to see with fluoroscopy, might have had an influence on the result. That is of course true, but such stones are certainly better treated medically. I am uncertain that the lack of information on skin-to stone distance is important. Of fundamental importance is, however, the operator skills, and that factor is most important. It is commented that in these multicenter studies differences might be present in this regard.
The bottom-line is that without expertise in using ultrasound guiding, that technique will come short relative to fluoroscopy.
